Getting and installing Eclipse

Eclipse is probably the best open source Java IDE you can get. So download it now: All links are Eclipse 3.3, release 20070702.

After downloading, extract the archive into a folder of your choice. Then start the eclipse executable in the folder (eclipse.exe on Windows). Now a dialog appears and you have to choose a workspace. That's the area where Eclipse will store all files and folders that it creates. You can press OK to accept the default location.

After Eclipse has started, you can use the update manager to install Developer's Jukebox as described on the previous page.
